Your Role at Baxter

This is where your work saves lives.

The Novum Pump Platform ( NPP ) is Baxter’s state of the art infusion platform designed to deliver life saving and life sustaining medication to our patients. Whether it is saving the life of a trauma patient or helping a family welcome new life into the world, our pumps must meet the highest safety standards.

What you'll be doing:

• Develop software in C/C++ and Python for embedded devices .

• Write design specifications .

• Write test procedures .

• Attend and contribute to weekly team meetings. 

• Attend and participate in technical reviews of NPP project.

What you'll bring:

Baxter is targeting students with proven academic performance and leadership potential or individuals with 0-2 years’ experience .  Ideal candidates will combine technical and business knowledge with analytical strength and creative problem-solving abilities. 

• Bachelor of Engineering degree in software , Computer or Electrical Engineering or related.

• Familiarity with C/C++

• Familiarity with Linux a plus

• Familiarity with Python , MATLAB or other object-oriented programming languages 

• Strong verbal and written communication skills 

• Demonstrated leadership qualities and problem-solving skills 

• Positive attitude, team-oriented, adaptive to change, and collaborative

• Actively involved in campus or community activities and organizations, preferably in leadership roles

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $72,000.00 to $99,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
